Take a Mini Escape to Summerfield Farms
Have you heard of Summerfield Farms? I hadn’t either until recently, and now I’m officially hooked. Tucked just 20 minutes from Greensboro and even closer (only 10 minutes!) to our Honeycutt Reserve community in Oak Ridge, this place is a total gem. It somehow feels worlds away in the best possible way. And honestly? I’m already counting down the days until I can go back.
Here’s a little backstory: Summerfield Farms spans over 600 scenic acres in the heart of Summerfield, North Carolina. Since 2012, it’s been dishing out Southern hospitality with style—but the land’s charm runs deeper than its name. Generations of good times are rooted in this soil, and you can feel it the second you arrive.
First Stop: The Market
Do not skip the Market. This charming little shop is packed with local goodness. Imagine things like grass-fed beef, organic produce, craft beer, snacks, and one-of-a-kind gifts that make you say, “Ooh, I need this.” The staff was so friendly and helpful with all of our questions. And good news, it’s open seven days a week!
Sip + Stay Awhile: The Well Truck
Next, we made a beeline to the Well Truck. More than just a mobile bar, it’s the social hub of the farm. Expect rotating cocktails (think farm-fresh and seasonal), local beer, wine, and a seriously chill vibe. With food trucks, live music, and even trivia nights, it’s the perfect spot to wind down and take in the quiet energy of the countryside.
Stay the Weekend? Don’t Mind If I Do.
While we didn’t stay overnight this time, the idea of waking up in one of the farm cottages overlooking peaceful pastures is now living rent-free in my mind. Their renovated cabins and cottages blend cozy charm with upscale touches, and the views? Chef’s kiss. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway or just need a little solo getaway, it's the kind of place that feels like a real exhale.
So Much to Explore
On my next visit, I’m eyeing one of their community events. Think: curated farm dinners, cocktail classes, movies under the stars, even the occasional fashion show. (Yes, seriously.) When I say this place has everything, I’m not exaggerating.
Whether you're popping in for a quick visit or staying the weekend, Summerfield Farms delivers the kind of peaceful, down-to-earth escape that makes you forget your to-do list for a while.
