Backpack Drive 2025: Proof That Give Back Matters
If you asked our Rockstars their favorite Garman Difference, I think most would say “Give Back.” It’s meaningful, heartwarming, and downright awesome that our company makes space for employees, buyers, and trade partners to be part of something bigger than themselves.
This year’s Backpack Drive was proof of what happens when a community rallies together. Our goal: help local students in need start the school year prepared and confident. Thanks to your generosity, we received over $10,000 worth of donations. We are excited to partner again with Guardian ad Litem and Backpack Beginnings to make a difference. Each backpack is filled with supplies, hope, and a reminder that someone cares.
It’s not just about pens, notebooks, and supplies. It’s about the ripple effect. A backpack can spark confidence, lift a burden, and give a student in need one less thing to worry about.
Moments That Stuck With Us
I loved hearing about the experience our Rockstars Tonya, Brad, and Tyler had during one of the shopping runs for the drive. Their stacked-up shopping carts drew plenty of curiosity, giving them the chance to share what our Give Back event was all about—and in return, they were met with stories from the community.
One was about a teacher struggling year after year to provide supplies on her own dime.
Another came from a proud dad shopping with his daughter, a young teacher, and sharing memories of watching her grow into the role.
And lastly, a special education teacher opened up about her career and passion for helping her students succeed.
These moments were a reminder: when we Give Back, we don’t just deliver backpacks—we connect, we listen, and we leave more hope behind than we found.
