To mark the moment, we’re sharing a recipe that feels right at home with your Classic White Button Down design package—timeless, fresh, and just a little elevated.

We all love a good Chicken Caesar Salad. It’s the go-to. The reliable. The always-hits-the-spot kind of meal. But what if we gave this classic a playful twist?

Meet the Cheez-It Chicken Caesar Salad—where bold meets familiar. Instead of croutons, we’re adding crushed Cheez-Its for an unexpected cheesy crunch that brings the flavor (and a little nostalgia).

It’s proof that even the classics deserve a remix. Because two legends are better than one—especially on your plate.

🥗 Ingredients

For the dressing:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan
  • 4 anchovy fillets (optional)
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Extra Toasty Cheez-It® Cracker breadcrumbs:

  • 2½ cups Cheez-It® Extra Toasty crackers, finely ground
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • Kosher salt, to taste

For the salad:

  • 1 large head romaine lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan, plus more for garnish
  • 1 cup Cheez-It® Extra Toasty crackers

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the dressing.
In a wide-mouthed jar with an immersion blender (or in a bowl), combine mayonnaise, garlic, lemon zest and juice, anchovies, Parmesan, and pepper. Season with salt, and thin with a little water if needed.
  2. Toast the Cheez-It breadcrumbs.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely ground Cheez-It crackers and toss to coat in butter. Cook until lightly toasted (~4–5 minutes). Remove from heat, stir in grated garlic, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the salad.
In a large bowl, toss shredded romaine with the dressing, Parmesan, and toasted Cheez-It breadcrumbs. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve topped with extra Cheez-It crackers.
