Love Next Door: How Two Homeowners Found Each Other in Wendell Falls

I absolutely loved hearing about how Roy and Michelle met in Wendell Falls. Let me start from the beginning. Buckle up this is a good one. 

Michelle moved into her Rock floorplan in Wendell Falls in April 2020. About a year later, Roy moved into his Rock floorplan, just one corner away on Douglas Falls Drive.  Great minds think alike, am I right?

Close… but not quite close enough.

Luckily, fate (and Michelle’s dog, Thor Bear) had other plans.

One afternoon, Michelle was out walking Thor when he suddenly stopped right in front of Roy’s house, just as Roy was getting home from work. Thor, normally pretty protective, was completely relaxed. It's like he somehow knew this person was different.

Michelle said hello.

They chatted.

And one week later, they went on their first date.

A few weeks after that came the classic “your house or mine?” conversation… and Roy officially moved in.

Then came the moment that sealed it all.  You guessed it,  Roy proposed right outside his Rock, at the exact spot where Thor had first brought them together. ❤️ Talk about a full circle moment.

Fast forward to today: they’re married, have two rescue pups (Cali and Bolt 🐶🐶), and have moved into their dream home, a Beau in Wendell Falls.

Wendell Falls will always be special. It’s where they built their first homes, found each other, and started their life together. And now, they’re stepping into their next chapter, their new home, and the best news of all? They welcomed a beautiful baby girl about a month ago.  I’m getting chills as I type all of this out.

Because sometimes home isn’t just where you live.

It can be where you meet your person.

Where neighbors become friends.

Where chance encounters can turn into forever.

That’s the kind of connection we hope every Garman neighborhood creates, not just houses side by side, but lives woven together.

Turns out, the right home can change everything… even your love story.
