Garman Homes Color of the Year 2026: Finalists, Design Inspiration & The Big Reveal
When Pantone announced their color of the year we paused and thought that doesn't feel like us. So in true Garman Fashion we decided to name one ourselves, powered by social media, and our own team of Rockstars. While we typically love a good trend, we don't always follow them. Especially in this case we wanted to build our own.
Drumroll please....we are happy to announce Blustery Sky SW9140 as the Garman Homes Color of the Year. It's a stormy neutral with soft blue-gray undertones that feels like curling up while the rain taps the windows (minus the soggy shoes). Calm, cozy, and surprisingly uplifting, it brings the chill without the gloom. What sealed the deal? The way it made our team feel. The overall consensus was that Blustery Sky evoked the beach, a deep exhale, a little spark of joy. And any color that can transport you and lift your mood at the same time? That’s more than a paint pick. That’s a feeling worth living in!

Carnelian SW7580 brings the drama (in the best way of course): a rich violet that glows warm and mysterious with red undertones. In softer light, it can even lean beautifully earthy, almost brown. Moody, romantic, and definitely vote-worthy.
Rookwood Shutter Green SW2809 is deep forest green, a little cool, and a lot classy. With charcoal and blue-gray undertones, it stays grounded instead of shouting for attention. Think of it like the introvert we all want at the party. A gorgeous, timeless pick for maybe next year's winner?
Equal parts earthy and elevated, Urbane Bronze SW7048 is a brownish-gray neutral that feels warm, calm, and casually cool. It brings a down-to-earth tranquility that still looks expensive. Kind of bougie and we aren't mad at it.
Dishy Coral SW6598, our wild card nominee as we like to call it, is a medium-to-bright coral that blends warm pink and orange like the world’s most charming sunrise. It’s bold, bubbly, and welcoming. You know, like the kind of color that says “hi” first and genuinely means it.
